Installing Qaydora on Windows
The first time you run the file, Windows shows a blue window that says "Windows protected your PC" and "Unknown publisher". It shows this for every program that is not yet signed with a publisher certificate, and our installer is not signed yet.
- Check that the file is ours.
Open the Start menu, type PowerShell, open it, and paste this line (it reads the file from your Downloads folder):
Get-FileHash "$env:USERPROFILE\Downloads\Qaydora-Setup-1.9.3.exe"The long code it prints (the file's SHA-256) must be the same as this one. Capital or small letters do not matter:fd1e3c52d0bbce0a494e88488d8949de9053ea80039835d7dc4fa486166683bcIf it is different, do not run the file. Download it again from this page, or call us. - In the blue window click More info.
- Click Run anyway. The installer starts.
Why am I seeing this?
Windows SmartScreen looks at two things before it lets a downloaded program run: whether the file is signed by a publisher it knows, and whether that exact file has already been downloaded by many people. Our installer is not signed yet, and every new version is a new file that starts with no download history, so Windows asks you to confirm each time. This is how Microsoft describes it in its own guide for app developers.
No "Run anyway" button? Some Windows 11 computers (Smart App Control) and some office computers do not allow unsigned programs at all. Do not change your computer's protection for this: contact us and we will help.
Install and start your free trial
- Run the downloaded file on the computer you will keep your books on.
Windows shows "Windows protected your PC" first. The box under the Download button says why, and how to check the file before you go on.
- Follow the installer to the end. Leave Start Qaydora ticked and click Finish.
- Copy the machine fingerprint. Qaydora opens on its activation screen and shows a long code under Machine fingerprint. Click the copy button beside it.
- Send us the fingerprint and your email address and ask for the free trial. Give the email address the licence should be issued to.
Send on WhatsAppOr email support@aynexon.com. Both are needed: the key works only on this computer, and only for that address. - Enter the licence key. We send you a trial licence key that runs for 1 month. In Qaydora, type the same address under Email the licence was issued to, paste the key under Activation license key, and click Activate.
- Create your company. Qaydora asks for the company name, base currency and fiscal year. Click Create Company.
Already using Qaydora?
Make a backup first. In Qaydora open Backup & Restore (Ctrl+Alt+B) and click Create Backup Now. A new version can upgrade your company file the first time you open it, and an older version of Qaydora cannot open that file afterwards.
Then close Qaydora, download the new version and run it over the old one. Your company files and your licence are kept outside the program folder and stay as they are.
Changed in 1.9.3: no change to how the books are kept. This version does not change the format of company files.
Changed in 1.9.2: if ZATCA answers that it already holds an e-invoice, from an earlier attempt whose answer was lost, the invoice is now recorded as accepted and not as rejected. This version does not change the format of company files.
Changed in 1.9.1: Switch User now ends your session, so coming back needs your PIN, and going back to a company after Switch Company opens it at its sign-in screen. If sending an e-invoice gets no answer from ZATCA, the invoice says so and can be sent again as the same document. The cash forecast includes what is owed to suppliers outside their bills, and the Command Centre reports a fall in spending for the last complete month without waiting for the current one to end. This version does not change the format of company files.
Changed in 1.9.0: each role is now held to what it may do. A viewer changes nothing; only a manager or an owner changes company settings, backs up, restores or runs payroll; only an owner adds operators, in Manage Operators. Five wrong PINs lock an operator for a minute. A closed year can be opened to look at and backed up. Bank reconciliation no longer offers a voucher that is already reconciled, and a decision can be undone. Your licence edition now decides what opens: Financial Intelligence needs Professional; HR and Payroll, manufacturing and the consolidated summary need Enterprise; e-invoicing is in every edition. Creating and changing ledgers, stock items and other master records is now written to the audit trail. An e-invoice that ZATCA rejects can be put right and made again, test e-invoices no longer share a counter with real ones, and a year cannot be closed while e-invoices are still unsent. A bank statement with no header row is read from what its columns hold. Like 1.8.0, this version changes the format of your company files: take a backup before you install.
Changed in 1.8.0: this version changes the format of your company files, and an older version cannot open a file once 1.8.0 has. Take a backup before you install. A sale of more stock than a location holds is now refused unless you switch on "Allow selling before stock is entered" in Company Settings. Stock purchases are debited to a Purchases expense ledger, and the Profit and Loss account shows the cost of what was sold. Credit and debit notes can carry the goods that come back. Closing a year now carries stock, open bills, employees, assets and settings into the new year.
Changed in 1.7.1: the stock rate on a Sales or Purchase voucher is typed in riyals, like every other amount, so 50 means SAR 50.00. Up to 1.7.0 it was typed in halalas. Vouchers already posted are not changed.
From version 1.7.0, Qaydora can tell you when a newer version is here: open Help and click Check for updates. It looks only when you press that button, and it opens this page for you to download from. Earlier versions have no such button.
