Installing Aynexon POS on Windows

The first time you run the file, Windows shows a blue window that says "Windows protected your PC" and "Unknown publisher". It shows this for every program that is not yet signed with a publisher certificate, and our installer is not signed yet.

  1. Check that the file is ours. Open the Start menu, type PowerShell, open it, and paste this line (it reads the file from your Downloads folder): Get-FileHash "$env:USERPROFILE\Downloads\Aynexon-POS-Setup-1.0.17.exe" The long code it prints must be the same as this one (capital or small letters do not matter): de92fc2b4df10aa18429c49ff8b9414c7caf2bc56dcfdcff7a7005a35ed0bee7 If it is different, do not run the file. Download it again from this page, or call us.
  2. In the blue window click More info.
  3. Click Run anyway. The installer starts.

Why am I seeing this?

Windows SmartScreen looks at two things before it lets a downloaded program run: whether the file is signed by a publisher it knows, and whether that exact file has already been downloaded by many people. Our installer is not signed yet, and every new version is a new file, so Windows asks you to confirm each time. This is how Microsoft describes it in its own guide for app developers.

No "Run anyway" button? Some Windows 11 computers (Smart App Control) and some office computers do not allow unsigned programs at all. Do not change your computer's protection for this: contact us and we will help.

Install and start your free trial

  1. Run the downloaded file on your billing computer.
    Windows shows "Windows protected your PC" first. The box under the Download button says why, and how to check the file before you go on.
  2. Accept the licence agreement and click Finish. Aynexon POS opens and shows an activation code.
  3. Send us your shop name and the activation code for your free 30-day trial. Click Copy activation code in the app, then paste it in the message.
    Or email support@aynexon.com. The code contains no personal data. Send it from the computer you will bill on: the licence works only there.
  4. Install the licence. We send you a free 30-day trial licence file (.lic). In the app click Install licence file and choose it. Your shop setup opens.
After 30 days new bills stop, and your past bills, reports and backups stay open. To continue billing, ask us for a Yearly or Perpetual licence: install it and everything carries on, with nothing lost.

Already using Aynexon POS?

Close the app, download and run the new version over the old one. Your bills, settings and licence stay as they are. In the app, the owner can check for a new version in Help & training, Check for updates.
